Adobe golive manual1/14/2024 The pressure on both sides of the overload membrane is transferred to the sensor by means of the silicon oil.Īt a pressure difference between the two separating membranes within the measuring ranges of the transmitter, all three membranes will move freely. The membrane chambers and the sensor are filled with silicon oil (approved for use with food). An overload membrane with adapted spring constant is located between the two separating membranes. This transmitter has a central piezo-resistive sensor connected to the membrane chambers via two capillary tubes.Each of the two process media pressures act on a separating membrane that have a small spring constant. If a PC is used it has to be connected to the Transmitter through an FSK modem. ETP90H can be configurated with a standard hand held HART terminal or with a PC and the software DOX9 or Smartvision. A PC with a special software and an FSK modem for frequency shift keying are required for HART communication, allowing for convenient menu-guided configuration of the transmitter. ETP90PA coomunicates with Profibus PA and ETP90FF with Foundation Fieldbus. ETP90H is HART compatible for frequency-shift keying at any chosen point of 4.20 mA transmission. The electronic system for measured value processing and conversion into the output signal is realized either as an 4-20 mA, ETP90A, or as a system with communication, ETP90H/PA/FF. The adjusters are accommodated in the connection head of the case. ![]() ![]() The measuring range can be adjusted within wide ranges. The system has a bubble-free liquid filling approved for use with food. The capillary tube and the transmitter ”neck” prevents the electronic housing from to high temperatures due to high media temperatures. The process value is measured with a flush-mount diaphragm and transmitted to the sensor via a capillary tube (see Figure 1). ![]() The pressure value is measured using a piezo-resistive sensor, and then converted electronically into the 4.20 mA transmission signal or fieldbus communication. Due to its sealing conforming to IP 67 the case is suitable for damproom installation. The smooth case surfaces can be cleaned easily. All visible surfaces as well as the process connections are made of corrosion-proof material. The transmitter type ETP has been designed especially for use in the food, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper and beverages industry.
